A Day At The Beach

A Day at the Beach

Lately, I have been playing around some with my Daz 3D Software some.  I created this scene that I called "A Day At The Beach", but could not get the background to work with the character!

So, I got frustrated and gave up!  I decided to render what I had and this is what it ended up looking like...

Tonight as I was working on a different project I decided to try adding a background using Photoshop.  Looking through some pictures that I had taken on our Beach Trip last summer, I came across this one and decided to see if I could make something work...

After editing the first render and trying to erase the background around the character as best as I could i was able to add the beach photo as the background... and it turned out alright, I think... for a beginner that is! :)
Whatcha think??

Lost in Thought

Recently I have been trying to learn more about the Daz 3D Software and use it more often, but I need a project to really become engaged in it. Ya know.

So, I started with this little girl... I'm calling these  "Lost in Thought" .
I'm hoping to come up with an idea or story line for it and allow it to help motivate me to learn more about creating with my Daz 3D/4.5 Software.

Get your Daz 3D FREE and see where your Creativity takes you!

I still have some learning to do in this program.. my girl isn't positioned on the floor correctly, but I WILL learn.  :)

I love Daz 3D, just wish I had more time to learn it and play with it more!

3D Software that allows us to create beyond what we ever believed possible!

Technology today allows all types of ways that allow us to express our creativity!  I have become fascinated with 3D and building software programs over the past few years; it is amazing how much you can create and explore with them.

I love being able to creative realistic characters, scenes, and much more; and the render feature really turns a scene into a life life creation. Although I am sure that there are many software products that allow you to do this, I haven't found but one that truly gives the realistic look; and that is Daz 3D.  The best part of this one is that it is FREE to download and create.  You can purchase addition items and scenes, but you don't have to.  However, it does take time getting used to the how some things work (at least it did for me), but it is well worth the fun you'll have in the long-run! You can go to  http://www.daz3d.com/  and you will see exactly what I am saying and just how awesome this software is too!

Creating houses, buildings, and other things in 3D are possible with Google Sketchup 8.  This is also a FREE software that you can do amazing things with; however, it will also take some time to get the hang of.  The thing that I enjoy the most about Google Sketchup 8 program is the ability to capture scenes from Googl Earth and redesign them; and you can submit your design to Google and if approved it will be added to the map for anyone to see.  How cool is that!!??  You can see more about this on the download page at http://www.sketchup.com/intl/en/download/index.html

There are many more products on the web that give us the tools to bring our visions to life (so to speak); and let us create things beyond what we ever thought we could!

What are your favorite 3D suites? Why do you love them?

Where is Santa?

Growing up I remember asking my mom so many questions about Santa.. Curious about the magical appearance that awaited Christmas night and how Santa made it all around the world in just one night!

Many boys and girls await Santa's arrival and are asking their parents these same questions; and technology has opened the door to a great way for parents to add to the magic by allowing them to Track Santa as he travels the world tonight!

Santa just arrived in Mindelo, Cape Verde, and will be in Natal, Brazil in the next 2 minutes!!

So, get the kids and let them experience another creative piece of technology that will allow them to see where Santa is right now!!

Toys that inspire creativity

As you all know, I love to draw and be creative; and my youngest daughter has a slight spark for it as well.   Every year I try to find the coolest gifts that inspire her creativity.   The past few years I have come across a few gifts that I play with time-to-time myself ((lol)).

Santa brought the Crayon Maker (from Crayola) last year and we had a blast playing with that; melting all of the broken crayons done and seeing who could make the coolest crayon was really fun.

I love Crayola, they have been coming out with some of the most creative toys that expand the creativity in kids.  I wanted to get the sidewalk paint so bad, but could never find it on the shelf.  I have seen a few of the new toys advertise that they have come out with (or had already) for this year and I think the Marker Airbrush will definitely find its way on Santa's List this year!

Check it the video of the latest commercial...

Now tell me... It that cool or what!!

What are some creative toys that you have seen this year?
